Joey Hokayem received a Bachelor of Music in piano, a Master of Music in piano
performance and pedagogy, University of Georgia, and is a member of Phi Eta
Sigma, Golden Key, Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Kappa Lamda. He is past president
of the Athens Music Teachers Association and the Georgia Music Teachers
Association. Besides teaching, he is an active performer, composer and a
member of Broadcast Music Incorporated.
